REVOLVE is pleased to host an eceletic evening of acoustic improv and out musics with Chicago's The Few, Asheville's Simple Machines (Tashi Dorji, Sarah Louise, and Sally Anne Morgan), and Michael Libramento (Floating Action, Natalie Prass, Sara Watkins, Phil Cook, Coconut Cake) opening.

The Few brings together three of the most dynamic string players from the latest generation of Chicago's storied improvised music community - Macie Stewart (violin / voice), Charlie Kirchen (bass), Steve Marquette (guitar) - forming an improvising, acoustic trio that seamlessly blends their wide ranging influences into a singular whole. 2017 marks the release of "Fragments of a Luxury Vessel" - their debut LP - on Marquette's Two Cities Label. In addition to their trio performances, they have performed and toured with Ken Vandermark and collaborated with Helen Gillet & James Singleton.

Simple Machines is a collaboration between Tashi Dorji, Sarah Louise, and Sally Anne Morgan. Tashi and Sarah are two of the top solo guitar players working today, known for their inventiveness and boundary-breaking styles. Sally is known for her work with experimental old-time band The Black Twig Pickers and has shared the stage with the likes of Laurie Anderson and Faust. Sarah and Sally play together as House and Land, with a record out in June 2017 on Thrill Jockey. As a trio, they make captivating improvised music, full of heart and a spirit of exploration.
