Sprouse is Jess Green, Trevor Wilson, and Ethan Woods. Together, they make psychedelic living room carnival music.
Sprouse started in March of 2018 when Ethan moved to Asheville. Each of its members, however, are seasoned artists in their own respect. Jess runs A Little Weather Weaving Studios, and is one of the founders of The Cabbage School in Leicester, NC. Trevor is the founder of the New York-based band Anawan, with whom he released the albums All Material and Anawan through New Amsterdam Records. He also was the recording engineer and producer of Mountain Man’s Sun Dog EP. Ethan founded the New York-based band Rokenri, and has been featured as a guest vocalist on records by Ocean Music and Adrian Knight. In May of 2015, he released Rokenri’s debut album, Donkey Donkey. His music has been featured in a number of modern dance pieces, most notably in The Light Brigade’s OVER BEYOND ACROSS THROUGH, commissioned by the Anchorage Museum in Anchorage, AK in 2013. Before Asheville and New York, Ethan worked as composer Dan Deacon’s personal assistant in Baltimore, MD.
