ANTELOPER is the electric brain child of JAIMIE BRANCH (fly or die, high life) and JASON NAZARY (little women, helado negro, bear in heaven). Branch and Nazary have been playing together as trumpeter and drummer for years, since meeting at the New England Conservatory of Music in 2002, but in this duo both musicians include synthesizers to push further into the spectral space ship ether. With deep rhythmic passages, telepathic improvisations and effortless melodic negotiations, Anteloper pushes forward, swinging its horns all the while. Anteloper released their latest album "Kudu" in 2018 on the International Anthem label.
Blacks' Myths create pulsing, hypnotic rhythmic structures that churn unpredictably, all while exploring the cracks and ambience in between. The DC duo is comprised of Luke Stewart on bass and Warren G. "Trae" Crudup III on drums. Their debut, the twelfth release from Atlantic Rhythms, is a snapshot of two collaborators at the height of their powers, expanding the idea of a rhythm section into something both ancient and futuristic.
Ahleuchatistas began in 2002 as a platform for creative music & radical ideas, and continues to grow and evolve to this day.
